Bad blogger & the high tea blogaversary giveaway

That would be me, the world's worst--or at least the laziest--blogger. I have passed my second year of blogging and only 65 or so posts in all that time...those of you that post daily or weekly, I don't know how you do it. I have neither the time nor, in fact, the material for a daily post!

I haven't been doing a lot of stitching recently as I've been in a bit of a funk lately over DD's graduation--you know, kids growing up so fast, the passage of time and all that. Those of you who have already been through your childrens' high school and college graduations, marriages, etc., please don't roll your eyes at me too much, I know it's just an 8th grade graduation. But I walked into the house the other day and saw her on the computer (her usual place) and had the thought that in a few short years she'll be gone.. I'll come home and that chair will be empty.
*sign* rotten kids. They make me feel really old. (She's in the middle in this picture btw, with her arm around her little brother who looks like he's ready to leg it.)

Anyhoo. On to the stitching, what little of it there has been :) This guy I started around Christmas las
t year but just recently finished for one of my DS's teachers, from the JCS 2010 Christmas ornie issue. For some reason the frogs loved this one, but it did get finished before the end of the school year.

Next is My Needle's Work from Little House Needleworks. I had been searching for this chart for a while and came across it at my
LNS quite by accident one day. So much for my resolution to limit my stash purchases this year! It's done on a grey-ish evenweave with the recommended overdyed floss, sans border of course. Don't know yet how it will be finished.

Well. I had other things to show but I had better
get to the giveaway since Blogger is being a poo right now and telling me it may or may not let me save this post :( A while
ago I went nuts over the Impie, Hattie and Bea kits and purchased
the tea cozy and Tea Room Chart from Little House. This has been sitting in my bin for a year or more and I belatedly realized I am never going to stitch it. So the giveaway will include the chart, floss, cozy, some tea-related items and perhaps something made by me. Just comment on this post, no other hoops to jump through. I will draw a winner on June 30. Good luck and thanks for visiting!

Sometimes life brings us things that we don't expect and we have to put things into the priority order. I haven't blogged last weeks so eagerly either but slow by slow things will go on.
I'd like to take part in your giveaway, especially since I'm a tealover :)!!!!!

No eye-rolling from me! It's been nearly 7 years since my DD graduated from 8th grade and 2 since she graduated HS and it still makes me sad. Next year my firsborn DS will graduate 8th grade and then I have two more yet to follow. It's a beautiful thing to be a Mom, but it's such a hard thing too.

I'd love to be entered in your giveaway as I've drooled over those Impie, Hattie & Bea LHN kits since they came out AND I'm an avid tea drinker - I use a real teapot and all!

You are definitely not a bad or lazy blogger, if you were I would definitely be badder and lazier than you lol... I just blog whenever i feel like it and that usually ends up about once a month , just remember it is not a competition but a hobby!

Cute picture of your kids, i know how you feel at how they just grow up so fast.

I so understand how the years fly when children are in school. I have 3 children of my own and the oldest will be in 4th grade this year. I don't know where the years go to. I love cross stitching. After I send the children to bed at night I try to work on some of my cross stitching. I also have started a blog just a week ago and love it. I hope to get to the same place you are at some day with 2 years of blogging. I enjoy seeing other peoples work. Looks like you keep yourself busy with it.

Lovely stitching, the My Needles Work is so apt at the minute for my life! Kid's are growing up fast, my DS1 is starting Yr 3 in Sept and it doesn't seem like 2 minutes ago since he first started school and DS2 goes into Yr 1...time sure passes fast now.
