another WIP done and and a new start

A whole lot of nothing new around here...but it's raining, my DD came home from school with the flu and I don't have a lot to do, so I figured why not post a few pictures. I find that I'm starting to tire of my WIP-of-the-month (a whole two months into the year--surprising I made it that far) and am dying to start new things. I did finish Delivering Tricks, my first and probably last of the WIP pile to be completed for a while.
I could not resist this new start--Evening Shades the Garden, an old Blackbird Designs Loose Feathers offering from 2003--I had looked around forever for this pattern. I am using the recommended floss on linen which I tea-dyed. I am loving this one and it is stitching up pretty quickly.
I hope to have some good news at the end of the month or shortly thereafter--we should have word by then on DD's high school applications--and I plan to celebrate with a giveaway of some finished goodies, charts and scissors and such. So come back and visit soon!

I think your "Delivering Tricks" is just toooo cute! I'm familiar with this one from Homespun Elegance. Thought I'd do this one myself. But what I really, really love is the Blackbird design. It's on the perfect fabric, and you've done a great job. It's really lovely! I, too, am attempting to de-stash. I'm to the age now where I already know I'm not going to outlive my stash, though I'd really like to take it with me, LOL!

great finish and a lovely start I have this BBD in my stash hopefully I can start on it in the next year. I agree with Nancy in IL I wish I could take it with me but better yet live forever and never grown old and stitch forever :)

Love that BBD! And you must have saintly patience to get through those black Squares on the border. Much luck on your Dd's applications.

Nice start on the BBD, I have had this kitted for awhile now.

I love BBD! Your start is beautiful! Would you be interested in trading/selling your pattern when you are done? I'm on a quest to collect all of the Loose Feathers and I believe that is one that I'm missing. I would understand if you don't want to, as I'm very wary about letting my charts go when I'm done. I rarely stitch things
more than once, but I never want to let my charts go in case I ever get the urge to stitch them again.

Congrats on finishing DT.

We had rain all weekend, and now temps are at freezing levels. Slippery everywhere! :(

Love what you are stitching on at the moment :o)

Sorry to hear that your DD caught the flu. I hope she is better by now and that no one else got it.

I hope your DD is feeling better. Your Delivering Tricks looks great and the new start of evening shades in the garden is looking fantastic. It definitely appears to be stitching up quickly too!

Good luck to DD on her applications :)
