Well I am finally back with a M.E. update. Kiddies have been on spring break this week so I have had very little time for stitching. I have made some progress on Maude, as you can see (yes, I know the stem on one of the flowers is wonky. Too lazy to frog it yet). It seems that whenever I get close to the end of a project I start to lose interest in it. Hopefully I can put those last few stitches into her before she becomes a UFO!
I updated my Rivendell journey too (on the sidebar). The last two months have been pretty pathetic. The last week or so of February I had an excuse for not walking (the flu) but in March I was just lazy. My goal for April is to clear the Midgewater Marshes, about 62 miles (which will bring me to the 200-mile mark in this 458-mile jaunt), and by the end of May I hope to have passed Weathertop. I realize that if you are not a Lord of the Rings fan this does not make a lot of sense; this is mainly for my own amusement : )
And finally what you have been waiting for, the winner of my giveaway-- Mr. Random Number Generator picked #26, Andrea! I will email shortly for your info. Thank you everyone for entering and for all your kind comments. Until next time...

What a pretty piece. It is coming along nicely.
Very pretty! You are so close to a finish, don't give up now!
You are making really great progress on ME...she's lovely! Congrats to Andrea!
Great progress on ME - love the colors!
You are very close to your finish. Hang in there.
Congrats to Andrea.
It looks great! I'll root you on for a finish! :D
Keep up the good work; ME is looking good, and congrats to Andrea.
Good luck with your walking goals. Though I've read LoTR and the Hobbit, I must not have read them closely as the geography is nothing more than a series of vaguely familiar words! But, I do think it's a great and fun way to track a walking goal. :D
ME is looking good. Took me a while to find the "wonky" flower. Not at all noticeable!
What an interesting way to keep track of distance! So any reason you're ending at the Council? No plans to head to Barad-dûr?
ME looks great Marjorie! Don't give up :o)
Congrats Andrea!
Hi Marjorie. I found your blog through Nancy M's blog and wanted to say hi. I'm Julie from Cincinnati, OH. I have the same problem you're having with ME. I get almost done, and I'm so excited about finishing something, I want to start something new. So, I do and then I never finish the almost finished. If I figure out a cure, I'll let you know!!
